Time for Learning – a fun, engaging, easy-to-use homeschool solution. Time4Learning uses short animated lessons to engage younger students.

Ambleside – a K (Year 0) through 12 (Year 12) curriculum based on the methodologies and philosophies of educator Charlotte Mason. It is free and uses many free books available online or for e-readers, a real benefit for cost savings.

Study.com – (grades 3-12) Build a custom homeschool curriculum plan with Study.com. Their online curriculum is crafted by the best teachers to help you meet your child’s education goals. Complete with video lessons, auto-graded assessments, and on-demand help from expert instructors, their self-paced courses help you create the perfect custom learning path for each child.

Timberdoodle – This is a great option for parents who want to be directly involved in homeschooling their children but don’t have much time. It comes with a thorough guidebook and an online scheduler with a checklist to help you go through the lessons at your and your kid’s own pace. The focus is on STEM, using dozens of games to help kids learn about STEM-related subjects. You can choose from either religious or nonreligious curriculum packages.

Tapestry of Grace – designed to help parents provide a Christian, classical, Charlotte Mason education. The history of the world is Tapestry‘s organizational theme. Its goal is to help students see the patterns of God’s personality and works. Tapestry of Grace (TOG) is a unit study style curriculum that covers most of the major subject areas for students in grades K-12.

Khan Academy for Kids – a FREE APP that engages kids in core subjects like early literacy, reading, writing, language, and math, while encouraging creativity and building social-emotional skills.

Sonlight – Complete 5th grade curriculum. Choose between the 4 or 5 day a week options and you get daily lesson plans for the year, a history/Bible/literature program that integrates History, Geography, Bible, Readers and Read-Alouds, as well as Language Arts, Science, and Math.

BJU Press Homeschool 4 Complete Kit – focuses on Christian values in education, with with a hybrid approach of online with books. (There is also a just books option) In grade 5, your child will cover American history completely, beginning with the birth of America and ending with President Obama, addressing current world issues along the way. For science students learn about minerals, fossils, matter, light, weather, ecosystems, and the human body.  ELA covers things like reliable spelling patterns and irregular words, as well as the grammatical study of sentences, nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and reference skills.

Calvert Homeschool– Appealing to children’s natural curiosity, our curriculum emphasizes active, student-centered learning over memorization and drills. This Calvert approach to homeschooling helps parents engage students with: PROJECTS that apply learning to the real world and are tailored to their interests. Activities that encourage them to think for themselves as they apply what they LEARN in meaningful ways. Assessments where they USE their learning to demonstrate mastery of each concept.

Easy Peasy All-in-One Curriculum – provides an all-free and online curriculum for fifth-grade students. Also their the website will track your child’s lessons and the days they were on website.

Abeka Fifth Grade Kit – contains all the required textbooks that your child will need for an entire year.

Shiller Math Curriculum – (grades preK-8) offers two levels of math kits (along with a few other kits). Their math kits are Montessori Based and include tons of hands on manipulatives.

Teaching Textbooks – (grades 3-12) 4.0 is now in app form! use it at home on the computer or on the go. Each level is full year of math where the teaching and grading are all done for you.

The Very Best Options for Homeschool Math (2021) – full curriculum options, supplements, and even math advice from seasoned homeschool parents!

Singapore Math U.S Edition – Singapore uses concrete – pictorial – abstract approach. This gives kids a foundation to work from and then encourages them to think and problem solve. There is both a Lesson Textbook and a workbook for this math program.

Apologia Homeschool Elementary Math Curriculum –  a new product from Apologia for elementary kids in grades 1-6. This curriculum combines color photos, hands-on activities, engaging projects, and plenty of games to teach math concepts! Each lesson’s design presents math as an accessible and exciting topic.

CTCMath – is an online math curriculum for children in grades K-12 (through Calculus). It is a video based program but also offers printable versions of the lessons and worksheets so your student can work pencil and paper as well if they would like to.

Math U See – helps students learn math concepts and succeed at their own pace. This unique math curriculum integrates a distinctive set of manipulatives with strategies presented through lesson-by-lesson videos, textbooks, and digital resources.

Life of Fred Elementary Math Review – written in a story format about a little boy named Fred who uses math in his everyday life. Fred is a 5 year old boy who is a professor at KITTENS University. He encounters a need for math first, and then he does the math. At the end of each chapter is a section entitled “Your Turn To Play” with questions for your students to answer that relate to what they have learned in that chapter.

Horizons Math – (grades K-8) a Christian curriculum that uses a spiral learning approach to math that helps students master concepts through continual review and reinforcement.  Using hands-on activities, a variety of manipulatives, and straight forward lessons, Horizons math lays a solid foundation. Here’s a review of Horizons Younger Grades

Saxon Math – (grades K-12) uses a spiral approach to teach students math in small amounts, continually reviewing concepts to keep them fresh and memorable. The early grades (K-3) are substantially different from the older levels, using manipulatives heavily and requiring much more teacher involvement.

RightStart Mathematics – (grades K-8) a complete elementary and middle school math curriculum that uses hands-on methods, visualization, and provides strategies and games to stress understanding and problem solving. Supercharged Science is written in a creation neutral way as to not contradict religious perspectives. There are many options from eScience to Science Mastery programs and covers all grades from K-12.

Abeka – Christian science for kids in grades 1-12

R.E.A.L Science – RSO is an incremental program that incorporates mathematics, scientific method, and science terminology as it gently builds on itself. Each topic in the RSO series of books is presented in an entertaining story-like format and is followed by hands-on activities along with background science information, parent instructions, labs, reading lists, journaling ideas, and websites. Each book of RSO level one is a complete one-year science curriculum if used one or two times a week. Level 1 is appropriate for Grades 1-5. 

Your Backyard Homeschool Nature Study Laboratory – We are here to help you with some methods that have been shared over the last decade, guiding hundreds of families to successfully navigate nature study close to home. When establishing a new habit, we have always found it helpful to start small and work on consistency.

Life Prep Physics – (grades 4-12) This is just one of the many courses offered by  College Prep Science. They offer Christ-Centered Live & Self-Paced Online Classes for Homeschooled Students. (And YES there is a lab component option!)

Real Science 4 Kids – (grades K-8) Their Building Blocks series is designed to be a rigorous, yearlong program for grades K–8. The writing paper does not have the typical three lines with the middle line being a dotted line. HWT believes typical handwriting paper causes line confusion for many students. HWT created writing paper with only 2 lines.

Lightning Literature and Composition – is a literature based program whose focus is on Preparing for High School Composition Skills by Responding to Great Literature. Using literature as a base, Lightning Literature teaches reading and writing skills, literary analysis, composition skills, and vocabulary.

Readers in Residence – designed for kids in grades 4-8. It infuses reading comprehension, literature, and vocabulary into one program, using solid, age appropriate literature.

Learning Language Art Through Literature – English lessons have never once been a chore with this curriculum – honestly! Our girls have loved each and every Learning Language Arts Through Literature (Llatl) book and I have to say that it has prepared them well, given them a solid grounding in grammar, writing, vocabulary and exposed them to lots of wonderful classical literature.

The Ultimate Guide to History Curriculum for Homeschool – a collection of both World and US History plus Geography curriculum and resources for your homeschool.

Notgrass History – Offers three years of curriculum for students in grades 5, 6, 7, and 8. America the Beautiful covers American history and geography. From Adam to Us explores people, places, and events from Creation to the present and all around the world. Uncle Sam and You introduces children to American government and civics. The Story of the World – is a four-volume set covering the sweep of human history from ancient times until the present. The books are written at increasing levels of difficulty, and can be read aloud to younger children or read independently by older children. The Story of the World is written in such a manner that the ages and grade levels can be very flexible. You can easily dumb down or build up according to the needs and ages of your children.

Simple to Implement US Geography – History and Geography go hand in hand. You can’t fully understand what was happening and why in a time and place if you don’t understand where it happened, the climate, the geological limitations, what hurdles the location presented, etc. This is a simple way to include US Geography alongside your history studies.

The Mystery of History – a four volume, complete, chronological history of the world that takes you through history from 1708 to 2014.

Trail Guide to US Geography – (there’s a world one too) offers many different choices for studying each of the states. There are daily geography drills and map work with lots of extra engaging activities to choose from.

DK Geography Books Grade 5 – Children with become familiar with the physical and political maps of each continent, time zones, and using longitudes and latitudes.

Sonlight – Their programs go through a full history cycle three times between kindergarten and graduation. Each time through, children gain a deeper understanding of history. They includes topics such as World History, American History, Church History, World Cultures, American Government and more.

Using the Who Was Series Biographies – You can use this wonderful biography book series for children to learn about many prominent people, events, and places in history. While not an open and go curriculum, this can be a fun way to use living books to explore a variety of topics throughout the year

Homeschool Piano Instruction with Hoffman Academy – your children will learn to not only play the piano, but also be competent music readers and have an understanding of music theory, technique and more. They will learn to read rhythms, improvise, sight read, and play by ear too!

Homeschool Typing with Typesy – a fun and fast paced interactive curriculum that integrates video teaching, scientifically designed exercises, and various fun games and activities. There are over 1100 lessons with an approximate learning time of 21 hours.

Spanish for Kids – an interactive, immersion foreign language program for kids. The video lessons are of children acting out everyday situations while all the speech is in Spanish.

Elementary Homeschool Spanish with Middlebury Interactive – (They also offer French, Chinese, and German) Middlebury Interactive is an online company that teaches foreign language with an immersive approach. They do so by using animated stories, games, songs and verbal voice recording.

Online Technology Classes with MYTEK LAB – live, online classes that meet every week. These are recorded so that students who can’t attend live still have the opportunity to benefit from these classes. In addition to the weekly class, students have a weekly help class available in which they can get live help. All classes are interactive, and the students also have assignments, quizzes, and projects that are due each week. Some of the classes are: Computer fundamentals, 2D Game Art 1, Programming 1, 3D modeling for games 1, VR Development 1, Web Design 1, and more.

Grade 4 Art Curriculum: Ancient Art and The Orchestra – features homeschool art and music plans for art studies of Ancient Art and an overview of the instruments of the orchestra! These plans are appropriate for family-style learning.
