One of the reasons we’ve so enjoyed Rod and Staff Bible Stories to Read and Bible Pictures to Color by Rod and Staff is that my little ones always sit still longer and learn much more when their hands are busy. I’m sure you’ve found this to be true as well.

Rod and Staff Bible Stories to Read and Bible Pictures to Color Review
As we start the school morning, I open up the Rod and Staff Bible Stories. I read the next one while my youngest colors the matching picture.
What’s included?
- Bible story
- A few, short discussion questions to reinforce the story
- A short Bible verse to learn.
Rod and Staff Bible Stories to Color
- 60 matching coloring pages for each story practice in coloring in realistic colors
- color by number
Benefits I Have Noticed with These Homeschool Preschool Resources:
Reading a Bible story each morning is a wonderful way to begin a school day. We are building the habit of reading the Bible each day. Listening. Coloring. Learning colors. Also, my older ones are usually close by when I’m reading. They enjoy hearing those stories they colored along with when they were younger.
Where can you find Bible Stories for your homeschool?
Both are available from Rod and Staff books:
- Bible Stories to Read is available at Milestone Books. We purchased this once and have used it over and over again with our children.
- Bible Pictures to Color is also available at Milestone Books. We purchased a new copy for each child in the preschool years.

I loved using these books when my kids were little (my youngest is 11 now), so this post brings back fond memories. 🙂
Last year we used these with our number five child. This year he is a big kindergartener. It surely goes fast. And yes, many happy memories with these Rod & Staff resources!
