Jamie Sewell Rodriguez, M.A. After chasing degrees and career ambitions, Jamie settled down to focus on her greatest adventure: homeschooling three young children with her college sweetheart and husband of (then) fifteen years, Efrain. On a clear, brisk day at the park in 2007 while exploring a drainage pipe that seemed to go nowhere, the idea for Havilah’s Gold was born. Thus began a new journey through years of writing in snippets of time between school hours and dinner time, drum lessons, piano lessons, karate classes, birthdays, graduations, weddings…until hobby gave way to calling. Efrain and Jamie still live in North Texas near their grown children. They both serve on staff at their local church, where they also lead a young adult group. Jamie enjoys good coffee, great books, enough conversation to satisfy a committed introvert, and escaping to the mountains as often as possible.
